EOGB expands R&D team with graduate appointment

EOGB has appointed Dimitrios Kouloumis as Project Engineer in a newly-formed Research & Development (R&D) team.

Dimitrios recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton and has extensive experience in using advanced analysis software for computational fluid dynamics and thermal simulations.

Working alongside the Technical, Production and Sales departments, Dimitrios will be heavily involved in the development and update of EOGB’s current X Series burner range, using the latest technology including 3D printing to model new parts ready for testing.

He will also be using an advanced CAD system to develop new and existing products, as well as re-modelling, drawing and transferring many of the current EOGB parts on to the system.

Commenting on his appointment, Dimitrios said: “I’m really excited about my new role at EOGB, who have built an excellent reputation within the industry and offer a high-quality product range. There is always a need for constant development and I’m looking forward to working closely with the wider team to design and develop new and innovative products which will ensure EOGB retains its position as a market leader.”

Paul Barritt, Managing Director at EOGB, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Dimitrios to the R&D department at EOGB where he will see projects through from initial design, through modelling and test to final product release. He has already proved himself as very capable, flexible and a valued member of our team.”
