EOGB Sapphire Low NOx Burner blue flame oil burner

EOGB announces launch of blue flame burner

Ahead of new regulations on flue gas emissions which come into force in September 2018, EOGB has announced the launch of its first blue flame domestic oil burner.

Due to be officially introduced to the market in Spring 2017, the new low NOx burner not only satisfies the required standards set by the Energy Related Products (ERP) Directive, but also meets lower 2022 requirements well ahead of time.

Unlike other low NOx products currently available on the market, EOGB’s blue flame burner is fully-modulating which delivers even further energy savings. The innovative control system means it can also operate as two-stage or on/off, or two stages for heating and a third stage for hot water demand if utilised with a combination boiler.

The burner is ideal to be used as a new boiler product as well as a replacement for existing domestic installations. Additional features include a low voltage flame scanner, flexible fan mounting orientations and low voltage variable speed fans, which make use of the best available technology.

Martin Cooke, Technical Director at EOGB said: “The oil industry is having to undergo a big change to comply with forthcoming NOx reductions. Our fully-modulating low NOx burner will provide the perfect future-proof solution for boiler manufacturers who want to meet energy saving targets without the need to redesign the entire boiler.”
