EOGB is now offering the CONGLP1 natural gas to LPG changeover course

New LPG training

In response to customer feedback, we’re pleased to announce that we are now offering the CONGLP1 natural gas to LPG changeover course with initial or re-assessment at our training facility in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

LPG is an area that is often overlooked by heating engineers. However, with four million homes in the UK that are off-grid, there is plenty of opportunity to take on new customers, especially if you are based in a rural location.

The one-day practical changeover course is for engineers who already hold their core domestic natural gas ACS qualification (CCN1) and wish to expand their portfolio to also work on installations and appliances supplied by LPG in permanent dwellings (PD). The qualification converts existing natural gas qualifications to their natural gas counterparts and covers areas including:

  • Safety requirements
  • Flow controls and vales
  • LPG supply pressure

In addition to the core changeover course, we will also be offering the following separate LPG modules for specialist applications:

  • RPH (Residential Park Homes)
  • LAV (Leisure Accommodation Vehicles)
  • HTRLP2 (closed flue gas fired found in RPH’s)

To complete any of the above, the engineer must hold a current ACS certificate for the particular appliance type.
