
OFTEC 50 – New Entrants

OFTEC 50 is a practical course designed for operatives lacking or with no experience of domestic oil installations.
It is designed to provide more intensive practical training to ensure that the delegate has a solid background and enough practical knowledge in oil to perform the everyday tasks of a competent oil operative.
Course Overview
The aim of each part of this course is that the candidate will reach the required standard to enable them to undertake the standard assessments (OFTEC 101, OFTEC 105E, OFTEC 600A)
Course Description
The course will include the following :
- Fuel storage, fittings, and pipework
- Boiler maintenance & breakdowns
- Boiler servicing & commissioning
- Ventilation
- Use of flue gas analysers
- Use of oil pressure & vacuum gauges
Entry Requirements
There are no entry/pre-requisite requirements for this course. Plumbing skills will be highly advantageous but are not essential.
