Teague Thomas joined EOGB in June 2025 as our R&D Electrical Design Engineer. His role focuses on developing and testing the electronic components that power our products, ensuring they are innovative, efficient, and reliable. With his skills and enthusiasm, Teague is already making a valuable contribution to the team and engineering our new products.

Tell us about your degree and your University experience?
I studied Electronic Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology (South Africa). My time taught me that no problem is unsolvable, and we can build anything in this day and age.

How do you apply those skills in your role at EOGB?
I use those skills daily when developing and testing new control systems — from analysing circuit behaviour, to coding microcontrollers, to troubleshooting real-world issues in the lab.

What is the best aspect of your job?
Being part of a team that delivers reliable heating solutions for everyday consumers while helping to create cleaner, more sustainable energy systems.

How does your role contribute to EOGB’s overall goals and customers?
By driving innovation in boiler controls, I help deliver smarter, more reliable, and energy-efficient heating systems that benefit both installers and end-users. Each day is focused on improving installation processes and creating better user experiences, while supporting EOGB’s commitment to cleaner, more sustainable heating.

What industry trends or innovations do you find most exciting right now?
The shift toward connected, data-driven heating systems and integration with renewable energy. I find it exciting to work on technology that improves efficiency while also supporting a more sustainable future.
