From our penalty shootout challenge and boiler mascot appearances, to engaging conversations and shared insights — it was a pleasure to connect with so many professionals from across the heating industry.

A particular highlight this year was the exclusive preview of our brand-new Sapphire R290 Heat Pump and Sapphire Combi Boiler, proudly introduced under our new brand Sapphire Heat Solutions. As the UK’s first fully modulating OpenTherm-certified liquid fuel boiler, the Sapphire range represents a major step forward in energy-efficient, future-ready heating technology.

EOGB Energy Products Ltd Under New Ownership

Martin Cooke, who has served as Managing Director and shareholder of EOGB Energy Products Ltd for several years, has now officially acquired the entire business under a new holding company, EOGB Energy Products Group Ltd. This marks a significant new chapter in the company’s history.

With an extensive background in the energy and heating technology sector, Martin a familiar face in the industry who also sits on the OFTEC board and previous BSI committees, is a gas and oil combustion engineer by trade with a Masters in combustion engineering, who initially started in the business as Technical manager and progressed to Technical director and then to Managing Director is constantly focused on innovation within the industry.

He brings a forward-thinking approach, a strong commitment to operational excellence, and a clear strategic vision for the future of the business. 

Under Martin’s leadership, EOGB will continue to strengthen its focus on product development, customer service, and expanding its presence in both domestic and international markets. The company remains dedicated to delivering high-performance, energy-efficient solutions to its clients and partners.

Under Martin and the team’s directorship, EOGB is proud to have developed the Sapphire fully modulating HVO ready oil boiler with OpenTherm integration, and coming soon the new fully modulating oil-fired Combi boiler, an industry-leading innovation. Under the new Sapphire Heat Solutions brand, EOGB will also be launching a range of domestic and commercial heat pumps, as a testament to the future-thinking direction of the business. This is just one example of the many exciting projects currently in the pipeline, reinforcing the company’s commitment to driving technical advancement and market relevance.

Alongside its homegrown manufacturing capabilities, the company is also proud to represent the world-leading Baltur range of commercial and industrial burners, further enhancing its product portfolio. A recent addition to the offering includes Apen industrial heating and air handling systems, reflecting EOGB’s ongoing efforts to diversify and meet the evolving needs of its customers.

Regarding this acquisition, Martin commented:

EOGB Training Celebrates 15 Years!

 

This year marks 15 years since we opened our EOGB Training Centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Our first OFTEC Course took place in April 2010. Since then we have had thousands of engineers come through our doors for various courses, ranging between OFTEC, ACS Gas, Unvented, Water Regulations, LPG and various product training courses.

Reflecting on the 15-year milestone of EOGB’s Training Centre, Reece Summerfield, Technical Sales Director at EOGB, shared his thoughts: ” our training centre has been pivotal in advancing industry standards and fostering professional growth. Over the years, we’ve seen countless individuals enhance their skills and knowledge, contributing significantly to the heating sector. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re proud of the positive impact we’ve made.”.

Looking ahead, EOGB remains committed to providing top-tier training and staying at the forefront of advancements in the heating world. We hope to have some exciting news coming soon regarding another expansion to the centre and continuing to provide first-class training to many engineers.

Online Sapphire Training Out Now!

Engineers interested in taking part in Sapphire Training can now do so on our recently developed online package—free of charge.

The Sapphire Boiler online course covers everything from system fundamentals and performance monitoring to troubleshooting and advanced maintenance techniques.

Available on a user-friendly digital platform, the online training offers interactive modules, video tutorials, and quizzes to reinforce key concepts. Engineers can complete the course at their own pace, ensuring a deep understanding of Sapphire Boiler operations without the need to travel or adjust their schedules, especially in these busier colder months.

To enroll, engineers need to sign up here. Upon completion, participants will receive a manufacturer’s training certificate.
